Pascal is much like C++ from this point of view. De jure both have their
own standards. One might have even heard that there exists a fully
conforming implementation of each of them (Comeau is the only one for
C++ I know about). De facto virtually nobody uses these mythic
implementations; and instead deal with /extended subsets/ of either
language.
