The outstanding failure of TP is the lack of f^ and the put and get
standard procedures.  Read of a numeric value also bombs whenever
the value is not terminated by eoln (or maybe a blank).  Use of my
txtfiles unit can ameliorate this.  See:

IIRC there is also a problem with truncating text output with the
field specifier.  This list is not comprehensive, but it prevents
compiling standard Pascal with it.
