My approach would be different. I view Pascal as a higher level
language than C. Translating C to Pascal is not always necessary to
incor****ate a C function into a Pascal program. Indeed, many pascal
programs directly incor****ate assembly language in the code.

A more reliable approach might be to build a standard, embedded C
library and directly call the C function from pascal. Both FreePascal
and GnuPascal do this nicely. GnuPascal is built this way.

For example, I'm using the excellent FreePascal NCurses Unit (function
module). The standard NCurses C library is unchanged. Then I use the
high level Object Pascal constructs to avoid where C fails; panels,
menus, forms, widgets.

Developing parallel C and Pascal code for embedded systems would be
hard to certify.
