Pascal Folks
As an unreconstructed UCSD Pascal programmer from the eighties I thought
I'd
try my hand with FreePascal/Lazarus (Win XP, lots of memory, normally well
behaved Pentium 4 system).
Several serious mishaps later (two 'source files 'overwritten' by a third
and finally my entire work directory disappeared), and I have pretty much
lost confidence with this setup (not to mention a full morning's work
because the bakup directory doen't seem to have done much in the way of
backing up).
This together with several debugger crashes maked me suspect tthat FP /
Lazarus is still very much 'under construction'.
Doe any one in the group have any suggestions for a credible / stable
alternative? - I was considering either DevPas or even paying for a copy
of
Delphi.
Any informed comment would be very welcome.
