Bob,
I'd recommend "Mac Revealed" 2nd Edition. It covers the essentials to
Mac OS and Mac Toolboxes in 4 books. They'd be great to go along with
Think Pascal which is free-ware now.
Search for "Mac Revealed" in ebay.
There's also Inside Macintosh by Apple. It is more of a reference and
"Mac Revealed" is more of a tutorial. I bought both.
