Afaik think is a m68k compiler with a 32kb structure limit. So the 1000
elements are not the problem, but element_count*sizeof(element)<32768

Try a product that knows OSes newer than Mac OS 8 or so :-)

P.s. it could be that later Think versions don't have this. While googling
I saw a remark about Think 4 being 32-bit. However IIRC classic Mac OS
kept
some wacky segmented model, even in 32-bit mode?
