Then it would be easier to use FPC instead of Delphi. The FPC IDE still
is a console application, that uses all that stuff itself. ****ting these
units certainly exceeds the capabilities of an Pascal beginner.
Otherwise I'd suggest that the OP gets a newer book, about writing
Delphi applications, instead of learning Pascal from a 20 years old book.
