D6: Get richedit line number

by A man <uce@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 24, 2003 at 09:12 AM

I'm using D6 Personal on Win2000. How do I get the line number from a
Richedit component? I'm currently using this:

y:=RichEdit.Perform(EM_LINEFROMCHAR,RichEdit.SelStart,0) ;
//Show y in status bar

But when I cursor up the line number doesn't change. Do I have to
manually change the line number display in one of the Richedit Key
events and look for the UP and DOWN cursors? And PGUP and PGDN? And
RETURN?

It seems the above code only works when I hit RETURN to add a new line
to the Richedit.

Thanks.
