Hello, everyone.
I just picked up this newsgroup tonight and I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Sean Dennis. I am an amateur programmer using Pascal mainly.
I do program in BASIC and REXX also, but Pascal is my mainstay. My main
"claim to fame" is I write freeware BBS doors and sysop utilities using
Turbo Pascal 7 (for the doors) and Virtual Pascal 2.1b279 (for the
utilities). I do run a BBS under eComStation (OS/2) still and am even a
member of Fidonet (1:18/200).
I printed out the mini-FAQ, which I found was full of valuable
information for me, and I've read it. I find it hard to get answers to
Pascal questions these days, so I discovered this newsgroup and hope to
learn and contribute when I can.
You can see what I've written at:

I first learned to program in Pascal in 1987 when they were offering
classes in it at my high school. I then didn't do very much until 1998
when I attempted to write my first BBS door. Since then, I've written
several little programs and doors that I find useful.
I keep the entire SWAG archive at instant recall when I program and I
have a bit of source code to check out if I get stuck, but I think I'll
be downloading a bit more now. You'll also notice that a lot of my posts
are in the early morning-that's because I work overnight and I sleep
during the day.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say hello. I mostly lurk in the newsgroups, but
I'll pop up every so often.
Later,
Sean
