Comparing strings and numbers

Hello all,

I have data that looks like this

10
23
5A
27B
O98
P10
30
400

and I wanted to search it to find all values between 1 and 40.  So the
result set will look like this:

10
23
30

Is there any way for me to do that?

I tried between but it only compares the 1st number.

Any help would be appreciated.
