Accessing an harddisk directly

by Ruud <Ruud.Baltissen@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 5, 2007 at 11:26 PM

Hallo allemaal,

Is there a way to access a sector of an harddisk using the INTR or
other Pascal procedure? I'm familiar with the old INTR($13, regs)
procedure where you have provide the track, head and sector but a) the
info I have dates from the DOS 3.3 era and b) I need a method that is
equivalent to the LBA mode; just give the number of the sector.

I'm busy with connecting a 6.4 GB harddisk to the 1541 drive of a
Commodore 64. Things seem to work out fine but filling the drive with
data is a bit of a problem. So I thought about letting a PC do that
job.

Thanks for any info, URL or whatever !!!
