ETHZ-Oberon file/dir structure ?

by problems@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Dec 5, 2007 at 08:46 PM

Since I used to have a fox terrier dog who would never accept
that 'the rat has got away', my obsession to recover some of a
'lost' native-oberon partition is perhaps biologically evolved ?

The interlation****ps of the various modules of source code is
very complex. And Wirth's explanation in
  http://www.oberon.ethz.ch/WirthPubl/ProjectOberon.pdf
does not correspond much to Native-Oberon's format.

By adding small files to a 'clean' partition I've found that:
 the directory [FileName, index] pairs are located at block
1032, and the file header's start at index * 8/29.

 I'm looking for any advice/help to futher understand the
 N-O file/dir structure, and will put my ac***ulated findings
 to Edgar Schwarz's wiki at:
   http://www.edgar-schwarz.de/mm/SwOberon

 Thanks for any feedback,

 == Chris Glur.
