I used to know this...sadly, I've had to over-write most of my IDX
knowledge with Epic knowledge. Limited wet-ware space and all...

If I remember correctly, there are some DBMS tables which are "off-
limits" for querying. Index tables or something. So if your table is
one of those, it might not be possible. GE also frowns upon getting
at data programmatically (for real, via M).
