Since you didn't specify your platform, I'll chime in with the Cache
version:

>From the managers prompt -

>D ^%JOURNAL

Select "E" for Enable Journaling
Select "N" to All Globals?
You'll then get a Global^ prompt which will allow you to build a list
of globals you want to journal.

You can also restore specific globals with ^JRNRESTO
