Surprisingly I directed the same question to Greg Nelson two weeks ago.
But he couldn't point me to some open sources and so I forwarded the
question to the ESC/Java team but received no answer so far.

Albeit I added sup****t for formatting SPEC pragmas to m3pp last week.  So
you have already a weak syntax checker for those specifications.
