Does any one want to host copies of System Research Center (SRC) release
3.6? gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/DEC/Modula-3/ appears to be empty.
This concerns me because SRC release 3.6 is what I have to use on the
DEC Alphas on which I conduct my research. The PM3 release does not
work, at least on these Alphas. Initially I could not even install the
PM3 release. Rodney Bates was kind enough to identify the cause and
suggest a correction. But once we got the PM3 release to install, it
still did not work correctly. It would compile my program, but the
program would abhort due to an assertion error in one of the modules
that was part of the PM3 release. In contrast, my program runs without
problem when compiled by the SRC compiler.
If I have to use the SRC release, then maybe someone else will also.
But where are they to get it if gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/DEC/Modula-3/ is
empty?
If someone will host the release, then I can provide the following
files:
-- COPYRIGHT
-- README
-- README.release-3.6
-- boot-ALPHA_OSF.tar.gz
-- boot-IRIX5.tar.gz
-- boot-NT386.tar.gz
-- docs.tar.gz
-- html.tar.gz
-- m3.tar.gz
-- m3cc.tar.gz
-- m3gdb.tar.gz
Additional note: Copies of SRC release 3.6 for DOS and OS/2 are at
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-browse?dir=/pub/os2/dev/modula/.
They
run on top of Eberhard Mattes extention (EMX) to DOS.
