Dirk,
Looking forward to Ada-Europe (finally, after 10 years)!
I'm just wondering if you've had any luck discovering anyone who could
speak on railways at SIGAda 2008.
J-P Rosen suggested Alain Fontaine, who headed the TGV signaling for
CSEE, but he seems to be semi-retired and I've had no luck contacting
him - he's not answering the several notes I've sent.
Any other railway ideas?
Oh - I'm going to re****t to the full committee next week about
keynoters. I don't think I told you, though, that I did contact Linus
Torvalds. Your suggestion was a brilliant idea; unfortunately Linus
replied (within 24 hours) that he hates public speaking and keynotes are
the worst of all. He does have a reputation for shyness - sees himself
as a geek, not a spokesman.
Still hoping to find a railways person...
Met vriendelijke groeten - tot straks in Venezia!
Mike
