post either. But, your post is such a BLATANT LIE that I had to say
something. Newsgroups originally in the .net hierarchy don't have
charters.
That goes for many groups such as comp.lang.misc, formerly net.lang, and
comp.lang.c, formerly net.lang.c. I.e., comp.lang.misc has *NO* charter.
Given that it has no charter, nothing is off-topic. That's not to say
net.lang wasn't created with a specific purpose. If you believe it does
have a charter, feel free to post the NNTP MSG-ID of the voted for and
approved RFD. If you wish to become informed, you can compare UUNET's
official information for an unchartered group's description, e.g.,
comp.lang.misc or comp.lang.c, to that of a chartered group that had an
voted upon charter and approved RFD, e.g., comp.lang.clipper:
