I suggest you make available binaries for running your language?
Just
minimal ones for Linux and/or Windows.

I've tried compiling the sources on Linux, but there were errors and I
don't
know my way around Linux.

Then I tried Windows, and I needed to download Cygwin (quite a large
package) so that I could unscramble the .TGZ file.

Then there were 100 or so C source files. I had 2 C compilers, lcc-win32
and
dev-c++ (including gcc) neither worked fully.

You suggest MinGW, and I started to download, then I stopped the 55MB
download because it was getting silly. And I really didn't have confidence

it would just work.

I shouldn't be doing all this stuff!

I wanted to look at an interesting new language, instead I first need to
become a C expert and go on a tour of different C compilers!
