I've been using open source software for many years.. exclusively on my 
own machines.  Lately I've been considering getting a mac for my next 
computer purchase.  Hardware is a hassle and I just don't want to deal 
with little hassles anymore.  I'm sitting in a room now with a printer I 
can't use because there are no drivers for it.  

That said, I'm not going to move to a system that isn't based on Unix.  
I'm just a lot more productive on a Unix like system.

Back to Java.... 

Sun lists this as fixed.  So I wonder if this is a bug or if we are 
missing some im****tant point in getting this to work.  Does anybody have 
this working under Linux?
