Jacorb - reading properties

In Jacorb 1.3 I could read properties from the jacorb.properties file
by using:
org.jacorb.util.Environment.getProperty(propertyName);

I'm upgrading now to 2.2.4, but it doesn't work any more.
What should I use ?
