Hard evidence?  No, that I can't give. And yes, I am well aware of the
branching. The whole goal is to setup an IDE from which you can do
everything
which is sup****ted by it. They introduced (basic) C++ sup****t during the
5.5.x
days already. Nothing new there.

Still, I can't help wonder how the success stories seem to have moved from
Java
to other environments. It is speculating, very true, but I wonder how long
this
will last untill they start pu****ng their "netbeans environment" over the
"netbeans java ide" as being their primary focus.
