Java?
Are you sure that Sun's Java (TM) will continue to exist?
Sun forbids other projects and companies do make a cleanroom
implementation.
Sun forbids Apache Harmony to ****p as "Java" on embedded devices. Sun want
to protect their revenue stream. They use the GPL as a "weapon" against
other projects and implementations. Sun is getting more and more like
Microsoft. Only that Microsoft does not pretend to be "free and open".
So what is the future of Java (TM)?
1 - No more Sun-trademark.
2 - what means "no more Java (TM)"
3 -The successor of Java (TM) will be developped outside and independently
from Sun Microsoftsystems.
An industrial consortium of companies like IBM, Intel, Google, AMD will
develop the new Java. It will be some sort of "Parallel Java".
Sun will be out of the game in 2 years from now.
Here is the future of Java. Read it.

That's a very Java-ish program-language designed for the upcoming parallel
age say the new multi- and manycore era.
