You don't actually know what data plans will be available for the 
iPhone. Given all we've been hearing about the supposedly outrageous 
things Apple has been demanding of wireless providers, it doesn't seem 
all that unlikely that they've negotiated something pretty good.

WiFi is also widespread in cafes, in some popular areas of parks, and in 
many other places where people are not likely to have laptops. I don't 
usually take my laptop when I go over to a friend's house, for instance, 
yet I can easily see myself jumping on their WiFi networks to check 
something from an iPhone.

Once again, you have not made any compelling case that Opera Mini has 
anything close to 15M users.

That map shows a dozen or more open WiFi access points on a block in 
many areas of Manhattan, often three or four with good signals. As I 
said above, one doesn't usually have to walk very far to find one.

This is quite easily avoidable if you know what you're doing.
