You probably have spent too much time reading the marketing
materials. :-)
But, subsetting data is, uh, sorta what IDL does best.
I don't think you will have too much trouble once you
get the data out of a file and into a variable.

loops to do this, unless you want your code to run
slowly for some reason. :-)
