I would suggest less fuzzy thinking. :-)

What is a "line" of data? Computers don't do
"around" or "about" anything. They are like
children. They have to be told explicitly.

P.S. Do you know anything more exact about this data?
Do you know, for example, if it is really saved in
an unformatted data file?
