emacs, fedora 8, idlwave and IDL7

by Bruce Bowler <bbowler@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 28, 2008 at 07:41 PM

I've got a "default" IDL7 installation and am using the RPM flavor of
emacs on fedora 8. As a result of that, I get emacs version 22.1.1, which

includes idlwave version 6.1_em22.

Whilst editing a pro file, from the menubar, I select
IDLWAVE>>external>>Launch IDL help and I get the following error message.

This is 100% repeatable.

open-network-stream: make client process failed: connection
refused, :name, IDL_ASSISTANT_SOCK, :buffer, nil, :host,
localhost, :service, 0

Anyone have a thought on how to fix this? (I'm sure it's some stupid
configuration option I missed somewhere along the line...)

Thanks!
Bruce
