Idl 7 &cvs setup question

by Bill Gallery <wgallery@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 14, 2008 at 08:55 AM

I can't specify CVSROOT for the cvs plugin for Idl 7 for Windows where
the repository is on a local networked drive. Details:

I am running Idl 7 on a Window machine with the project directory on a
networked drive in:

//Project/x0018/Stratwarm/src

(Note the preceding double // which is how a networked directory is
specified in Windows).

The files are under cvs control with the repository in:

//Unix/home/wgallery/CVS_Repository

Running cvs from Windows, the following values of CVSROOT works fine:

CVSROOT = //unix/home/wgallery/CVS_Repository  or
CVSROOT = :local://unix/home/wgallery/CVS_Repository

However, the Idl workbench cvs plugin does not recognize either of
these as a valid CVS root:
- it does not allow for an access method of 'local'
- it does not allow two '/'s to proceed the repository location

Any suggestions on how to specify the repository?

Cheers
