Does anyone know whether it is worth rebuilding icon from source when
moving to an AMD opteron Linux environment as opposed to using the
64-bit linux binary supplied on the icon web site?
I guess the question is whether the standard binary version would run
more slowly than one compiled specifically with a compiler for that
chip set.
