A single precision value in storage is converted to double precision
by appending (extending with) binary zeros.

When printed in decimal form, the number may appear
with non-zero decimal digits beyond single precision.
You would get a similar effect if you printed the same
single precision value but as double precision.

Appending zero bits in the conversion does nothing to the value
of the number.
