Oh, I'm not dissing the old girl.  I just think it's a fine example of 
the sort of the technologies that we should include when we discuss how 
"easy" or "appropriate" one language is over another.

Coders love to learn new languages.  After all, it's what we do!

I stand by my remark that debugging complex Makefiles that have a lot of 
history associated with them is one of the least satisfying jobs one can
do.
