Heh, I got an Eee PC 701 and it's still running a Celeron M. I believe
the new 900's run a celeron M as well. As you probably know these are
selling like hot cakes.

Later models will eventually go Atom I guess - but I'm not sure the
Atom architecture will actually sup****t AMD64++ etc.

As an aside, Eee PC's (imho) have quite a lot of nerd factor coolness.

Look at the mods some of those guys have
done :)

This thing's gonna be a classic and it's not too costly at all. I
admit it's not for all, but for those of you who can bear a small
screen and keyboard, it's really something to look at. Runs a xandros
type linux, which does a few silly things by default, but that can be
tweaked to one's liking, or you could junk it and run something else.

This thing turns heads.

Then watch the jaws drop when you tell them how much you actually paid
for it :)
