The most famous purveyor of turtle graphics, Logo, quickly added a
"setxy" command after moving from physical turtle robots (which aren't
kangaroos, after all) to computer graphics. Logo didn't unduly limit
itself to the physical turtle abstraction when it entered a different
environment.
