FORTH, Inc. does tend to specialize in embedded systems.  Don't 
disparage them, though -- they're far more numerous than PC's!  Recent 
major projects include:

* A series of power distribution controllers for GE Multilin, 
http://www.geindustrial.com/multilin/products/lentronics/,
including 
(most recently) the JungleMUX Sonet product line.  The relation****p with 
GE goes back quite a few years.  We provide system-level and 
communications/networking code, while the "domain experts" at GE write 
the higher-level applications using SwiftX.

* Antenna controllers for Vertex/RSI 
http://www.forth.com/resources/appNotes/app-Vertex.html.
 These are used 
for a number of military antennas, as well as all the uplink antennas 
for DirectTV (the main satellite TV system in the US).

* A very interesting experimental system designed to facilitate coaching 
world-class competitive swimmers.  The swimmers (during practice) wear 
little devices with LEDs that are monitored by cameras, and analysis 
determines things about their speed and techniques that enable their 
coaches to improve their performance.  No web site yet!
