Without a fuzz? Not quite. I should have shown the actual build
commands on linux before. This is an excerpt of my Makefile:

glina : ci86.lina.s ; as $+; \
    strip a.out --strip-unneeded -R .bss -R .data -R .text ; \
    ld a.out -o $@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
  ; strip $@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 -s -R .bss

So immediately after assembling I got rid of everything unneeded
and specifically of the .data and .text segment.
The loader doesn't complain if those are absent, on linux, but
it does add a gratituous .bss segment.
That is stripped too.

Then as part of SAVE-SYSTEM all sections are killed anyway.
The program is just loaded, using the "program" information
in the header.

This is how lina looks after stripping of symbols and SAVE-SYSTEM.
