Re: The future of computing (is Forth left behind?)

by jacko <jackokring@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 24, 2008 at 02:46 PM

hi

http://indi.hpsdr.com/forcc.html

in regards to the purpose of forth in the media codec issue and other
angles:

i would like to point out that an rpn based construction system as
output from a flex/yacc forth responds well. it has the necessary low
level and does not limit itself to strange requirements of compilation
according to the machine. the promiser of forth is not to do with any
requirement of code, but to do with compact reepresentatioin of
workability.

i do not think any other macro language exceeds assembler in such a
fashion. it is cool and although exceeds the basic issue, it gets to
the nub better than any other compile monolith language for compact
code (essential for good cache and smallish optimacy). i think c is
ok, but it does not thread as often in terms of common code elements,
and extersible style.

cheers jacko

p.s. although i haver not programmed much in it , i see the code
segments better in it. finalization is such a smallality when it comes
to quickliness.

ok computer

execute..
jacko
