Yes, that's what the various online histories say ... microFORTH
written originally for the 1802 then ****ted to 8080, 6800 and Z80.

Was it ever ****ted to the 6502, or was that what the fig-Forth project
started out as? I later heard that the popularity of the 6502 with
hobbyists in the later 70's was mostly because of its low cost, which
was due to an early advantage in yields (it certainly could not have
been a love for 8-bit index registers and 8bit signed conditional
branches).
