Learning HP-71B FORTH

by "John Pierce" <johnpierce5@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 20, 2008 at 02:26 PM

It is my understanding that stupid questions are the most easily answered
and I have some very low level questions. I am trying to learn the FORTH
dialect developed by HP for its HP-71B calculator in 1984. I have read
"Starting Forth" & "Thinking Forth" and would like to develop some words
of
my own. In this case the do***entation produced by HP is not a tutorial
and
therefore not very useful in learning FORTH. I unsuccessfully tried to
load
a text file containing a word definition and received a file
specification
error. That funny noise you are hearing from the east coast is me
scratching my head. I need and would appreciate help at the basic level.
Thank you.

Regards
John Pierce
