All it takes to give Forth a future in the desktop market 
is to make Forth one of the front-end laguages in the Gnu 
Compiler Collection (GCC) [ http://gcc.gnu.org/
].

If anyone wants to see a real-world example, keep an eye 
on FreeBASIC.  It is on-track to being included in the 
Collection, and thus to being a standard feature of most
Linux distributions.  I predict a huge surge in popularity
for FreeBASIC when that happens.
