That's just an example of bad-by-design.  "SWAP +" is should not get
the
SWAP optimized and then the + optimized.  The SWAP is completely
unneeded
and a good example of code that should not be written in the first
place.
It certainly has absolutely nothing to do with hardware stack engines.
If you do have bad-by-design code then a simple optimizer should
eliminate the SWAP for you, that's just software.
