In MacForth we have something called Optimizer Reductions.
Patterns of words are reduced to single pieces of code.

: tt swap drop ;    will be compiled as    : tt nip ;

You can add new patterns and their reduction with
add-pattern ( xt1 .. xtn n replacemntxt -- )

' swap ' + 2 ' haha add-pattern
