I don't think C's syntax is that complex, although Forth's is
maximally simple. Operator 'precedence' in C -- a slight
oversimplification, since there isn't quite a linear order -- is
standard and I have never heard of any implementation varying it.

Could you be thinking of the fact that _other_ algolian languages like
Fortran COBOL PL/I Pascal Ada have somewhat different rules?
