Forth on MacBook Core Dual Intel report

by Roelf Toxopeus <these3rt0only@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 16, 2006 at 02:08 PM

MacBook 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo 512 MB
Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.7
No classic

MacForth 6.05 ok

mystuff: quicktime movies/video, opengl, tcp/ip osc, core audio ok

debugging with gdb not ok (what do I expect?!)

at a quick glance:
Powermops 6.0 ok

graphic demo ok

Running these Forth's under Rosetta on the MacBook is not a slowdown
compared to my daily workhorse: iMac DV se 400 MHz G3

It boots incredibly fast!

The machine is rather hot.

Caveat: while installing the new computer, I told I don't want an
internet connection for now. It didn't listen and had connected
automaticly to one of the many open wireless networks in the
neighbourhood.

regards
Roelf
