68K Mops and Quick Edit

by Doug Hoffman <dhoffman@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 11, 2004 at 12:29 AM

It has recently dawned on me that I inadvertently made the current 68K Mops
(the one that come with the more recent Mops distributions) incompatible
with the 68K Quick Edit. The problem is with the file AppleEvents. The
fix
is easy and will be included in the next distribution.

Meanwhile, if there is anyone who wants/needs to restore that
compatibility
now just let me know and I'll provide what you need to do so. Note that
the
version of Quick Edit recommended for 68K Mops is v3.53.

I don't know how widespread the use of 68K Mops is, but I know that up
until
a little over a year ago that was all I used. For the record, in addition
to my iMac, I also have three 68K machines: a IIsi, a Powerbook 145b, a
Classic II, and a 1985 vintage "Fat Mac" that has been upgraded to 1 MEG
of
Ram and 2 800K floppy drives (no hard disk). I have an older version of
Mops that runs just fine on that last machine!
