UK input to Eiffel ISO Standard

by "Derek M. Jones" <derek@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 14, 2007 at 12:41 PM

All,

IST/5 is the BSI committee in the UK that is responsible for
providing UK input to the ISO committee SC22 (programming languages).

There is an ISO Standard for Eiffel
http://www.iso.org/iso/iso_catalogue/catalogue_tc/catalogue_detail.htm?csnumber=42924
and IST/5 might be asked to express an opinion relating to Eiffel.

IST/5 tries to maintain a panel for each programming language it is
responsible for. These panels do all the technical work and advise
IST/5 on what position the UK should take when there is an ISO ballot.

If any UK people on this list would like to form or be part of an Eiffel
panel, please let me know (I am currently chair of IST/5). IST/5 does
not meet again until December and there are no Eiffel related ballots
outstanding, so this is not time critical.

Feel free to pass this message on to any interested parties
