I would like to hear more about your system. Aside from the fact that
you are smart (and I say that because you have been able to understand
someone else's code -- SmallEiffel), I assume that you were able to
implement multithreading because (a) you understand your domain
(b) you understand the scope of your application and (c) it is
confined
to one machine with maybe 2 processors.

I should have mentioned that many of my clients are building large,
distributed systems.  They were also building new applications where
they were not as familiar with the domain.  And they were trying to
scale to 8 processor machines.  So, they were faced with using
MT to make their systems much more scalable.

So, when you add a new system and pressure to make it scalable, you
run into all kinds of problems.  I will have to think more about
what this means for my domain.
