Using C_STRING class

Hello ALL,

Does C_STRING ( added in Eiffel 5.6 from ISE ) objects allow
modification from C Library ?
i.e. I would like to set error buffer from Eiffel class and allow C
library to set STRING into error buffer.

If C_STRING objects cannot be used , is there any alternative ?
