Yes, so I've heard... :-)

Nevertheless, I remember wearing floral ****rts with high collars to work
(I 
wasn't the only one :-)) and gentle things like being given a flower and a

smile as I walked down Queen Street at lunchtime, the girl who used to
sing 
while I played guitar for her and who made me a necklace out of dried
beans 
(which I wore for a long time until it broke), the sit ins in Albert Park,

the "smoke ins" on Waiheke Island, the ****d dancing on Rakino, and the 
music... Man, it has never been bettered.

It was "time out" from the overhanging threat of nuclear extermination and

the Cold War, after they killed the one decent, inspiring, American who 
brought us all hope, and replaced him with a succession of  puppets to the

Establishment and rascals, who held the fate of the World in their hands, 
and whom we never even got to vote on.

A gentler, less frenetic time, where, for a short while at least, we
really 
believed that Love was the answer to everything and people were kind to
each 
other without ulterior motive.

Then the 70s arrived and burst our bubble :-)

I don't live in the past, and I'm happy in 2008, but I liked the 60s...:-)
