What do you want more space for??

Developing in a DOS window?
    use /E in windows\system32\config.nt
    (can't find the full working syntax at the moment - it's on a disk in
a non-working machine<g>)
    or
    adjust the memory settings of the .pif file accordingly
    (all 16 bit code runs in a command.com shell never cmd.exe)
or
for apps at runtime?
    Adjust a .pif file and install it along with your app.
    or
    Avoid using DOS environment variables in your app.
