not just the left-icon nor the title-bar, but the *whole* cmd prompt
window 
[at least on my win/xp] accepts right-click giving me immediately the 
select-all option, after that just hit enter and the screen content is in 
clipboard, and as a third step just paste it into notepad

the only drawback is that this is not available in full-screen, only in 
windowed mode
